Madison chooses AOL Fiber over Google Fiber

In a surprise announcement, AOL is launching a competing fiber network to Google Fiber. After receiving a giant box of "1000 Free AOL Fiber Hours" CD's in the mail this morning, the MadFiber Cabal decided to withdraw Madison's Google Fiber application, and instead submit one for AOL Fiber.

Quoting Stephen McMillan, CFO of AOL Inc.:

"AOL Fiber will bring blazingly fast internet speeds of up to 128 KBS. That's 100 kilobytes per second more than 28 kilobytes per second!"

Best of all, the AOL Fiber service would require no additional infrastructure installation. It works on existing copper phone lines.

McMillan also says:

"With AOL Fiber, there's no additional laying of miles of wire required- no trenching, no construction."

Look for your very own "1000 Free AOL Fiber Hours" CD in the mail soon.
